Get Involved with WorkforceCONNECT

WorkforceCONNECT can get you plugged in to the talent pool and business community. Employers can participate in our WorkforceCONNECT Advisory Committee, which meets six times per year and helps guide the WorkforceCONNECT program. Employers can also attend our workforce events, speak at our events, allow us to provide workforce assistance, and schedule a consultation with WorkforceCONNECT to share their insights and feedback on the workforce needs of today. By providing us with your valuable insights, needs, trends, and concerns, we can effectively convey this information to relevant boards, committees, and other influential groups with which we collaborate. Together, we can drive positive change and address the workforce challenges and opportunities in our area.

Events

WorkforceCONNECT hosts two types of main events each year to develop connections in the business community: Pasco 50 and Biz Blast. Pasco 50 aims to gather feedback from employers, and Biz Blast aims to make local resource connections with Pasco County businesses.

Pasco 50

Pasco 50 is a semiannual event, held once in the summer and once in the winter each year. Each session has a relevant workforce topic to discuss with the group, and the event also brings in speakers or panelists. Business leaders and human resource or recruitment professionals from Pasco County's fifty most influential companies are invited to share their thoughts on workforce development needs and trends. The feedback shared at Pasco 50 will assist WorkforceCONNECT, our workforce and training partners, and companies to SHAPE Pasco County's winning workforce.

Biz Blast

This isn't your typical networking and resources fair! Held annually, WorkforceCONNECT is bringing you the business resources you need to support or grow your business, all in one place. To be held in early winter 2024, come meet numerous business resource providers, the majority of which provide no-cost assistance. These organizations can assist you in finding funding, connecting you with quality talent, creating new programs in your business, establishing long-term talent pipelines, providing upskilling opportunities to your employees, getting involved in the business community, and more. It is held at a different location each year and targets different geography areas.

Develop Your Talent Pipeline with our Workforce Network

Our network of education institutions, training providers, Pasco County Schools, and other organizations are training Pasco County's future workforce, including your future employees. By working with them, employers can get involved in developing the future workforce to ensure there are always high-quality candidates available. WorkforceCONNECT collaborates with your business to establish strong talent pipelines, which also can include bringing awareness to your industry, assisting the workforce with career exploration and preparation, and providing methods for training.

Below are just some examples of what can be accomplished with the power of collaboration. WorkforceCONNECT is happy to assist your business with establishing any of these programs and to connect you with the appropriate organizations to make it happen. Your business can also utilize WorkforceCONNECT's ConnectOPP platform to showcase these opportunities.
