Since 2018, WorkforceCONNECT has been assisting Pasco County's employers with hiring, training, and developing their workforce. The success stories below features just some of the employers that have utilized connections through WorkforceCONNECT, demonstrating the importance of community connections, seizing opportunities, and prioritizing their talent needs.

nfant Labs

NFANT's story started when they first met Pasco County Schools at WorkforceCONNECT's first annual Biz Blast event in 2023. This encounter turned into a partnership, and as a result, NFANT hired a talented intern from Wendell Krinn Technical School. The success in finding an intern motivated NFANT to take things further. Now, NFANT is working on an internship program for high school students in Pasco County to gain experience in the field of Biomedical Sciences.

Delta Hydronics

Delta Hydronics was connected to AmSkills and CareerSource Pasco Hernando through WorkforceCONNECT. AmSkills trained four employees on manufacturing. The employees underwent a 10-week training, and all five employees passed the training. Delta Hydronics utilized a training grant from CareerSource Pasco Hernando. Delta Hydronics is excited to continue their new relationship with AmSkills.

Amerikey Locksmith

Amerikey Locksmith established the first Registered Apprenticeship program in the state of Florida that yields a Master Locksmith certification. With the help of CareerSource Pasco Hernando, Amerikey received continuous guidance and funding for the apprenticeship. Paul Micklow, owner of Amerikey, now sits on the local Workforce Board to continue engagement in workforce initiatives.

ConGlobal

At an annual check-in meeting with Pasco EDC, Mark Mills, Vice President of ConGlobal, stated he was looking to develop a streamlined process for finding talented interns. To assist, Pasco EDC coordinated a meeting and tour of Saint Leo University's CARDS robotics lab with Mark, where Dr. Monika Kiss and Mark discussed and eventually implemented an internship program. In Fall 2023, Mark interviewed several Saint Leo Unviersity students and extended internship offers to a few of them. Mark feels confident that Saint Leo University nurtures excellent talent and hopes to extend full-time employment offers to some interns after graduation.
