114 people move to Pasco County each day, and half are under 40 years old

Pasco County is not just for retirees! According to the 2021 American Community Survey, between 2020-2021, 114 people moved to the county each day, with 64 of those people being under 40 years of age. Of migrants, 52% migrated from a different county in Florida, about 43% migrated from a different state, and about 5% migrated from abroad. More young people aged 20-24 moved to Pasco County from another county than any other age group, and more young people aged 25-29 moved to Pasco County from another state than any other age group. 

250,000 skilled workers

Pasco County's most notable advantage is its educated and skilled workforce, reflected in its impressive 81% prime-age labor force participation rate for ages 25-54. This high rate signifies a strong work ethic, a desire for career advancement, and a willingness to contribute to the county's growth and development. With access to quality education and training opportunities, residents are well-equipped to meet the demands of the workforce, attracting businesses, fostering innovation, and improving living standards for individuals and families, ultimately driving economic prosperity in the region.

58,400 residents are nearing graduation

Pasco County boasts robust talent pipelines - pools of individuals who are actively engaged in education and training, preparing themselves for future career opportunities. In 2021, there were over 28,400 residents pursuing higher education in colleges or graduate schools, while more than 30,000 residents were enrolled in high schools. Moreover, 43.1% of individuals aged 25 years and older that hold a Bachelor's degree or higher specialized in Science and Engineering or a related discipline, while 25.3% focused their studies on Business. Undoubtedly, our companies have an abundance of highly skilled talent to select from when considering their future workforce.

2,523 industry certifications awarded to students

Pasco County Schools focuses on career readiness to ensure future success of the workforce. For the 2021-2022 school year, 2,523 industry-certifications were awarded to students of Pasco County Schools, with a 99.3% pass rate. 

10% more working-age residents choose to live and work in Pasco County than five years ago

Pasco County is a great place to live and work! In 2022, 63.1% of residents worked in Pasco County, compared to 52.3% in 2018. 

61% of employed Pasco County residents aged 16 years and older work in Pasco County (updated 8/2025)

When residents work in the county in which they live, traffic and commute times are alleviated.
