The Arc Tampa Bay

AmSkills is a Vocational Rehabilitation Training Center, and in 2024, AmSkills anticipates to become a Uniquely Abled Training Center. The AmSkills Career Discovery Bootcamp recruits candidates to complete a two-week hands on program, introducing candidates to a variety of careers and preparing them to launch a career in the manufacturing industry.

The Arc Tampa Bay serves the entire range of persons with intellectual / developmental challenges—including persons with autism, seniors, and persons with intense behavioral issues. A variety of assistance programs are available, such as the Supported Employment Program, which assigns an Employment Coach to participating individuals to obtain identification cards, arrange transportation, apply for jobs and learn specific skills for the job.

Hire homeless veterans or provide skills training. The Homeless Reintegration Program to assist homeless veterans with obtaining housing, help them access all support services needed to maintain housing and provide training, job development and job placement services for successful employment.

 

 

Find recruitment help, host job fairs, all at no cost. CareerSource Pasco Hernando has access to individuals that are looking for jobs. 

Youth Programs: An at-risk individual in need of job training between the ages of 18-24 can be assigned to work at your business for up to 6 weeks or 180 hours, whichever comes first. CareerSource Pasco Hernando pays for the candidate's wages for this duration. At the end of the term, the employer has the option to hire the candidate for a permanent position.

The END RECIDIVISM PROJECT is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization assisting formally incarcerated individuals get the support they need as they prepare for their release and return to the community.

An incentive program that allows employers to hire with limited liability to their business at-risk job applicants.

 

 

 

 

 

Employers have the opportunity to earn a federal tax credit between $1200 and $9600 per employee. This tax credit is dependent upon the new employee qualifying as a member of one of the below target groups and working a minimum of 120 hours in their first year. A variety of employees are eligible, including qualified veterans, ex-felons, Vocational Rehabilitation individuals, SNAP recipients, long-term unemployment recipients, and more!

Global Pathway Studies Foundation (GPS) is a philanthropic 501c3 committed to transforming education - from grade 6 through adult learners - by offering online career exploration, industry-recognized certification programs, K12 coursework, and scholarships, with specialized services (like GPS4Vets) designed to empower at-risk groups and prepare a skilled, inclusive workforce.

Veterans possess a unique set of skills and qualities acquired through their military service, such as discipline, leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork. By hiring veterans, businesses not only support these brave individuals who have served their country but also gain access to a pool of talent that can bring immense value to their operations.

 

Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC)   as $9,600 per qualified veteran or up to $6,240 for qualified non-profit organizations. The WOTC program enables the targeted employees to gradually move from economic dependency into self-sufficiency as they earn a steady income, while participating employers are able to reduce their federal income tax liability. The amount of the credit will depend on a number of factors.

Veterans Florida Workforce Training Grant  This grant reimburses qualified employers 50% of industry skills-based training costs for new or current employees. Approved training can be provided by third parties, in house corporate, or on the job training. Your dedicated point of contact at Veterans Florida will walk you through the process step by step. These services are offered primarily for employers within Florida’s targeted high-tech industries.

Hire Veterans Medallion Program  The HIRE Vets Medallion Award recognizes employers who are committed to hiring and retaining veterans in meaningful, long-term careers. Veterans benefit from career growth, and employers gain dedicated employees who make significant contributions.

SkillsBridge   Through the SkillBridge program industry partners benefit from gaining early access to the extensive experience, skills, and unmatched work ethos service members bring to the workforce. Employers craft SkillBridge programs to meet their specific workforce needs, matching those needs to the skills and abilities of highly motivated service members, all at no cost. 

Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program   Boley Centers offers this program to assist homeless veterans with obtaining housing, help them access all support services needed to maintain housing and provide training, job development and job placement services for successful employment. Employers can assist by hiring program participants.
