CareerSource Pasco Hernando is the area's no-cost, one-stop venue for meeting both employer and employee needs through individual assistance. So far, CareerSource Pasco Hernando has served over 13,000 businesses. Employers located in the Pasco-Hernando region will be provided with a personally assigned business services consultant, who will be the employer’s point of contact, assisting the employer in using CareerSource Pasco Hernando services and facilities. Some employer services offered include hosting job fairs for employers, employer job postings, veteran employment assistance, assisting in the application process for the Federal Bonding Program and the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC), pre-employment assessments, and more. CareerSource Pasco Hernando also offers the following grants for eligible for-profit businesses:
- Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) to train existing employees by a trainer of your choice
- On-the-Job Training (OJT) to train new employees
- Establish Registered Apprenticeship Programs
Additionally, in collaboration with Eckerd Connects, CareerSource Pasco Hernando offers a Youth Program to assist at-risk or disadvantaged youth (ages 18-24) in job training and locating jobs. At no cost to employers, placed students are paid by CareerSource Pasco Hernando for up to 6 weeks of training or 180 hours. At the end of the 6 week period, the employer has the option to hire the student as a full-time employee.
